Life is such a funny thing. We think we know what we need and want for ourselves and we forge down the path we see for our future. And then life throws you a curve ball that wasn’t in the plan and everything changes. Such is the case for a friend of mine and her beautiful family of 4. They’ve built a beautiful life for themselves and for their 2 children who are absolutely amazing kids. They struggled with the idea of having another one, going back and forth for a couple years before finally deciding they were done. My friend had gotten in the best shape of her life and looked amazing. The kids were in a bunch of activities doing really well and it seemed life was moving along smoothly. Two was enough…..in their plan.  Their kids were now 8 and 11, all the baby stuff was gone, that stage of their life was over….or so they thought. In December 2012 they announced they were unexpectedly pregnant. We were all shocked but so so excited for them. I think we all secretly wished they would have more. I know I did!

We shot their maternity portraits out in the back roads of Brentwood at this beautiful nature park we found that has this calm stream of water and pathway with trees overhead. It was such a beautiful location with gorgeous light surrounding her and I just love how these images turned out! Congratulations to you all on the new arrival of baby Jordan!
