Follow Your Dreams // California Wedding and Portrait Photographer

2016 was finally the year where I overcame my fear of doing photography full time. I left my day job, my financial stability, my 13 year home away from home. I put all my faith in myself and more importantly in God. I realized that if I don’t at least try to follow my dreams, I’m doing myself a disservice. If I can’t make it work then at least I tried and there’s no regret in trying, regret is only found in never trying. So here we are, things have slowed down from the crazy busy holiday season and wedding season and I’m now staring 2017 square in the face. Where do I even start? Am I going to succeed? Will anyone want me to photograph them? Am I good enough to do this? So many questions, so much unknown, a little fear mixed with a little self doubt but then there’s that fire inside of me; that fire that made me quit my job. That fire that said YOU CAN DO THIS!! You will get clients, you are good enough, YOU WILL SUCCEED.

If you’re in my same boat, if you’re wondering if you’re good enough, if you’re wondering if you’ll succeed……you will. If you want it bad enough then you will. The worst thing you can do is nothing, never try, never put faith in yourself, never push yourself. Then and only then are you guaranteed to never succeed. Don’t let fear stand in your way. This is the end of a year. A new beginning is ahead of you. There is no better time than now to follow your dreams. Impress your own self! What have you got to lose?? Whatever it is that you want, tell yourself right now that you will achieve it.

Here’s to living life to the fullest, living without regret, following our dreams and becoming and achieving whatever we want! Here’s to 2017!
