This elegant and romantic wedding was a dream to photograph. It was a destination wedding for most of the family since the bride and groom had just moved to the area. Everything was simply perfect and well thought out. From the gorgeous wedding ceremony situated in the beautiful Mill Valley Redwoods to the quaint reception at The Pelican Inn in Muir Beach where no detail was overlooked. That’s the great thing about California weddings, one minute you can be photographing in the redwoods and the next minute your photographing your couple on the beach. It really doesn’t get much more perfect than that! We started off at the stunning modern home of the Mill Valley based Dwell Magazine founders. This home had the most amazing architecture and art and ohhh the light was spectacular! We then headed just a quick walk down the street where the beautiful ceremony was set up nestled in the forest with huge Redwoods as their backdrop. After the ceremony we took a drive down Hwy 1’s Pacific Coast to Muir Beach where the reception was being held at the adorable Pelican Inn. If you’re having a wedding in Muir Beach this place is incredible and the staff was so friendly. It has this cozy 16th century England look and feel and their food is delicious!  The other great thing about this venue is it’s just a short walk down to the beach where we went for the bride and groom sunset beach portraits. The beach area it brings you to is quiet and empty so you practically have the whole beach to yourself! Back at the Pelican Inn guests mingled, ate yummy cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and danced the night away with the bride and groom. It was simply perfect. Congratulations Jessica and Nick!!
